Complete House Guides
Is the road easy to access?
Yes, the last 900m before arriving is partially unpaved but you don't need a four wheel drive. We recommend driving slowly and using a vehicle that is not too low, especially during the rainy season (June to October).
Where can we park?
There is a parking area just below the house where up to three cars can park. If additional parking is needed, extra parking spaces are available further up the road. Drive up the hill and turn right at the first street, where additional space is available for vehicles.
Because the road up to the entrance is steep, we recommend unloading luggage near the entrance first, then parking the cars.
What are the closest airports?
Can you arrange transportation for us?
Are there ATMs nearby?
There are very few ATMs in the area, and many restaurants, beach bars, and small shops only accept cash.
The closest option is:
• Santander ATM in Puerto Ángel
We recommend arriving with enough Mexican pesos for small purchases, taxis, and beach restaurants.
What time is check-in?
Check-in starts at 3:00 PM.
Is self check-in available?
Yes. The house has self check-in with a lockbox located next to the entrance door. The code will be sent before your arrival.
Can we arrive earlier?
Luggage can be dropped off from 11:00 AM if the house is still being prepared.
What time is check-out?
Check-out is 11:00 AM. Please leave the keys where you found them on the kitchen island.
Can we check-out later than 11:00 AM?
You can always use the common areas after 11 AM while the cleaning staff starts working on the bedrooms, or leave your luggage at the villa and come back for it later. If a later check-out is available on the day of your check-out we will gladly accept (late check-out until 2 PM).
Is there a safe in the villa?
Yes. A secure safe is available in the kitchen for storing valuables such as passports, electronics, or cash. Please ask us if you would like to use it.
Is the house secure?
The property is located in a quiet residential hillside area. We recommend always locking the main entrance and closing windows when leaving the house.
Is the ocean safe for swimming?
The Pacific Ocean in this area can have strong and unpredictable currents. For safer swimming we recommend calmer beaches such as Playa Panteón in Puerto Ángel.
Is the water safe to drink?
Yes. The kitchen includes a filtered drinking water tap connected to a purification system.
Is the house eco-friendly?
Casas Coyote runs on 24 solar panels that generate 100% of the electricity used in the villa. Greywater is also treated and reused for irrigation of trees around the house.
Will we see animals or insects?
Because the house is surrounded by tropical nature, guests may occasionally see lizards, frogs, insects, or small scorpions. They are part of the local ecosystem and generally harmless. Keeping doors and windows closed helps prevent them from entering the house.
